third continent
Reading something about Elona/Tyria being on the same continent (and they are, I am not denying it). I noticed that the 3 map we have were surely part of a single continent in the beginning, if yoy stick the 3 map you see they can assemble lika a puzzle. I know that when the Gods shatered the bloodstones (or was it just the keystone, memory's playing tricks) and used the abbadon's mouth to destroy/bury it
I don't know why but in my mind Abadon'S mouth was in the middle of the continent in the begining, if so is it possible that there is a third continent west of the RoF.
Not sure if what I say makes sense, could anyone tell me if there isa critical mistake in it or if it is possible.

elona and tyria are on the same landmass but are considered different continents (like europe and asia). the gods shattered the bloodstones into 5 fragments, 4 bloodstones and the keystone, and then chucked the fragments into abaddon's mouth. i never heard anything about abaddon's mouth being in the center of the continent, could just be you or maybe it was originally supposed to.
hope this clears things up.

hehehe... I knew that one, but thanks for the precision. Speaking french I didn't know there was a difference between continent and landmass (then again I think it is there in french too)

Knowing myself it is hightly possible it is just me. And looking at a map in the manuscript, it doesn't make sense that there is a distinct landmass westward. The Maguuma is continuing west, so it is still part fo Tyria.
And yeah! that cleared thing up.

First off: sorry, i didn't intend my last post to sound that sarcastic. So... no hard feeling?
Geesh... that map was huge, ol' dial-up didn't make it past 25%. If you wanted a revenge, I guess you got it.
Anyway, I loged on and looked at the map. Yeah, you're right its's not an island, my mistake. In my mind I alway saw as an island.
Let's just not start a flame war.

Indeed. The evidence seems to point that it is indeed an island, just that the island is larger than the game area. It looks like you have the (relatively) habitable area to the northwest, while to the south and east you have rugged mountains which, by all evidence, humanity seems to continue to prefer Echovald, the Jade Sea and overcrowded Kaineng to - which says something about what may be in those mountains.
Of course, we don't know what might be on the other side of those mountains - do they go straight to the sea, or are there other provinces of Cantha or even other vassal cultures living off the map that remained unnaffected by Shiro's machinations?
